Let’s face it - sometimes musicians get bored recording albums in the same genre over and over.

Enhancing an old sound to create something new and interesting is an important part of being a successful musician. After all, consumers get bored with their favorite artists if they refuse to further develop and reinvigorate their sound - even if some consumers don’t realize this.

Let’s take a look at a few times that musicians took “developing new sounds” or “musical growth” to the next level by completely switching their genre.
